Do Not Sell or Share

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and under similar laws in other US states, California residents and certain other state residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information. This page explains what those terms mean for Kumand and how to submit a request.

Our practices

We do not sell personal information. We do not exchange personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration with any third party.

We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under CPRA, "sharing" specifically means disclosing personal information to third parties for the purpose of targeted advertising across different services. We do not do this.

We do disclose limited personal information to service providers (such as Google, Twilio, and Stripe) who help us deliver the Services. These disclosures are not sales or shares under CCPA and CPRA because the service providers are bound by contract to use the information only on our behalf and only for the purposes we specify.

How to submit a Do Not Sell or Share request

Even though we do not sell or share, you may still submit a formal opt-out request that we will log and honor. To submit a request:

1. Email admin@kumand.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share Request."
2. Include your full name, the email address associated with your Kumand account or briefing (if any), and a brief description of the request.
3. If you are submitting on behalf of a minor, indicate the minor's age.

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and complete the request within 15 business days, as required by CCPA.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for the device and browser from which it was sent. You do not need to submit a separate written request.

Verifying your identity

Before fulfilling certain requests we may need to verify your identity. This typically means matching the email address on the request to one we already have on file. For sensitive requests (such as access to specific pieces of personal information), we may ask for additional verification.

Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide proof of your written authorization, and we may contact you directly to confirm.

Other rights

You also have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. See our Privacy Policy for the full description.
