Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Kumand is committed to making kumand.com and the Kumand platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is a continuous effort, not a one-time fix, and we welcome feedback on how we can improve.

Conformance target

We are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III and under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

What we do

• Design with sufficient color contrast for text and interactive elements.
• Use semantic HTML so screen readers can interpret content correctly.
• Provide visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation.
• Use ARIA labels on icons, buttons, and other non-text controls where appropriate.
• Build forms that are navigable by keyboard and properly labeled for assistive technologies.
• Test on macOS VoiceOver, Windows Narrator, and recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

Known limitations

We are transparent about areas where we have known gaps:

• Legacy admin interfaces predate our current accessibility standards and are being upgraded incrementally.
• Third-party embeds (payment forms, analytics widgets, calendar pickers) may not always meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We choose providers with accessibility in mind but cannot guarantee third-party conformance.
• Some marketing animations may not respect prefers-reduced-motion in every case. We are auditing these.

How to report an accessibility issue

If you encounter a barrier while using kumand.com or the Kumand platform, please tell us. Email admin@kumand.com with the subject line "Accessibility Issue" and include:

• The page or feature where you encountered the issue (URL is helpful).
• A description of the problem.
• The assistive technology you were using, if any (screen reader name and version, voice control, switch device).
• Your contact information if you would like a response.

We aim to respond to accessibility reports within 5 business days and to resolve verified issues as quickly as the underlying work allows.

Formal complaints

You may also file a complaint with the United States Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Information is available at ada.gov.
